Many Things

I posted three times last Saturday and each time it got deleted. I then discovered a virus that some miscreant sent me somehow. Just goes to show you can block all you want, some people are still so bored and Useless they have to bug me. Well, sorry pal, I am no longer Bugged.

Les betes du bon Dieu

On Saturday I found a Lady Beetle on my Rose du Rescht on Saturday. The French call lady beetles les betes du bon Dieu, or creatures of a good God. I was very excited, as this predator will eat bad bugs. Yay.

Another Good God creature is the Carolina Chickadee. A pair of them found my birdhouse, built a nest on Saturday and Sunday, and the Mom is now sitting on the nest while the Dad guards the door. I am looking forward to seeing the babies.

Dick Cheney and Martha Stewart
There was some kind of weird planetary convergence here on Friday, which as you remember was Saint Patrick's Day. Martha and Biggus Dickus were here on the same day. Go figure. Anyway, Martha stated that she no longer enjoys walled gardens. Big Dick said he came to speak with the troops but everybody knows he came to get drunk at the Hibernian Society, where the St Pat's shenanigans are well documented. I came in my house and turned out all the lights. I don't know if he brought his gun, but I'm bettin' he knew how to find one. If he shoots his friends and makes them blame themselves, what on earth would he do to pore little unarmed me? I think I made a wise choice. The pets couldn't figure out why we went to bed so early.

Knitting
I knit two purses for that auction. I didn't like either one enough to donate them, so I kept them. They'll be my Louisiana mementoes. I hope I'm not the only one who gets a bright idea, acts on it, then wonders what I was thinking! I'll do better next year.

The Garden
Thank you Amie for the suggestions for the Mardi Gras garden. JJUs are great but they fade in the heat. I'll use them in the fall. They're so awesome they last all winter down here.

The Roses will be blooming soon. They'd be out now but it's unseasonably chilly (in the 60s) this week, so they're slow to go. It won't be long now though!
